The grapes were 70% de-stemmed and not crushed. No yeast was added. The wine was aged for 14 months in Cîteaux oak barrels, of which 36% were new oak.
Slightly high toned aromas and red currant, raspberry, licorice, pepper and herbs are present on the nose. The palate has a sleek mouth feel, nicely integrated acidity, an attractive touch of sweetness on the finish.
